Hudson’s eye surgery went very well. The actual ’surgery’ part only took 5 min, and he was only ‘under’ for about 25 min. He woke up happy and the doctor was pleased with the way it went! He has been a bit swollen and there is still a little bit of discharge but they did say it could take about a week to fully see the results! Thank you for all your prayers!!

This year’s forth of July was bittersweet. Bryan had to work up in Montery at Laguna Seca (a moto GP race), so it was just me and Hudson. We crashed a couple of parties and enjoyed watching the fireworks in our ‘backyard’.
See that swollen left eye? Well Hudson has had a clogged tear duct since birth. These things normaly clear up on their own, but in some cases action is needed. Hudson is one of those cases. Tomorrow morning @ 6:00am Hudson will be having surgery to “unplug” his tear duct. It is a minor outpatient surgery, Dr. Beebe referred to it as easy as “putting cream in your coffee and stiring it with a spoon!” (thanks Dr. Beebe. excellent reference!) They do have to put him to sleep (which is the part that makes me nervous), but his normal self right after the surgery!
So if you don’t mind, please keep Hudson in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow morning. Pray that the surgery will be successful (sometimes it has to be done twice yuck!), and that I won’t worry too much!

Hudson, this weekend we took you to melrose. We went to your Mommy and Daddy’s favorite home designer store: Jonathan Adler. and let me tell you…you hammed it up! You definitely know when to “turn it on”. They loved you in that store and we were so excited to see you share the same enthusiasm that we have for his design as us.

Little man,
I can’t believe you are almost a year old! It is so exciting. You can now say “Dog, Duck, Quack Quack, Mommy , Daddy” and Grammy is sure she heard you say ball and book (you say all your real words very softly as to make sure you are not making a mistake) it is very cute. We love you!! You are quite the social butterfly, everywhere you go you make people smile, we pray that this will never change. You are such a sweet, smart boy! Everyday you do things that make Grammy and I look at each other and say “That is really smart, right?”

We celebrated Grammy’s birthday last week!! Hudson and I took her to Disneyland on her actual birthday, and then we went out to Sushi with the Rosso’s.
